Joshua McCoy was born in 1978 in Lexington, Kentucky.
Farm life gave him a respect and understanding of nature as well
as the value of hard work. His love of literature began at an
early age; it came as no surprise to his friends and family when
he began to write stories of his own.
After attending the University of Kentucky as
a student and disc jockey, Joshua began to move about the country
to see what life would bring him. He has spent over 10 years in
the service industry and was the Beverage Director for The Estate
at Florentine Gardens in Rivervale, New Jersey where we worked
for 4 years controlling over $8 million in purchasing. Joshua
has opened numerous restaurants and organized the expansion of
My Big Fat Greek Restaurants in the Phoenix Metro area.
One of his screenplays, Banquet, found its way
into the third Project Greenlight competition. He also wrote and
produced the short film “Light” for the 48-hour Film
Challenge in Phoenix, AZ.
Joshua now resides in Tempe,
Arizona with his wife and son where he finalized his fourth feature
film screenplay titled “Witch’s Bane”. Joshua
looks forward to a long career with Summitstar Films.
