Earl Betts was born into the entertainment
industry as the oldest son of Bunny and Earl Betts Sr. Bunny,
currently still working for one of the largest movie studios in
the world, has over 30 years in the industry. Earl Sr. has now
retired from “the other giant” in the motion picture
industry after a 30 year history in set construction as a construction
foreman.
Growing up on studio lots, Earl
began his career in the industry through a large variety of major
studio departments. His experience in live action and animated
filmed entertainment contract administration was built as a result
of his employment with three major studios in the Burbank, California
area. Earl has been employed in numerous departments within the
major studio system including the story department, Business Affairs
& Legal as well as music A&R.
After ten years in the motion
picture industry, Earl changed careers and embarked on a career
in Human Resources where he trained as an HR Generalist with specialties
in Benefits and Employee Relations. Spending most of this career
in the High-Tech industry, he has gained experience that can be
used in any business industry. It was during this time Earl also
worked as a freelance writer with the National Press Association.
This is where his creative side became his focus.
Earl now returns to the entertainment
industry more “well rounded”, with a goal of being
part of creating a new motion picture industry base in Arizona.
